Hey everyone, I've been trying to contact dealers and find photos online of a reversed second row but have only found online animations and a youtube video of a 2022 (possibly modified to make it work in the US?). I was hoping someone was running their 2023 with a reversed second row and would love to see some photos.

Major bonus if you have some car seats installed and have any information or guidance from manfuacturers (do you mount in forward facing mode to get indefinite reverse facing seating for passenger safety?).

No US dealer is going to give you any advice or input on that decision other than telling you it’s dangerous since that option is not legal in the US.

Months ago I had watched several YouTube videos on how to reverse the 2nd row seat in the US version. If I recall correctly, there if a plastic clip on the floor rails that needs to be removed. However, after watching the videos I decided it was not worth trying because the reversed seats make it hard to get to the 3rd row, 1st row and 2nd row seat backs are battling each of space, and it appeared much harder to properly buckel in a child in a car seat.

This forum already has a thread which details how to reverse the 2nd row seats for a 2022. There's no change to the 2023 model design. That being said, it would be irresponsible at best and downright idiotic (and probably illegal) at worst to put your child into a reversed seat while the vehicle is moving. Please don't.

Wait, that’s strange. I called a dealer after finding the reversible option on the us website, and they confirmed this was possible, though would not send me a photo.

it was from the same thread I learned that 2023s are different

Good that Kia finally enabled it from the factory for the 2023 model. I believe that same thread has pictures and videos of the seats reversed. Check it again.

I followed the YouTube video in my post, and was able to remove the white clips with a couple of flat head screw drivers. You can see how I setup my chairs for a road trip. It was not possible for me (m 6’3) to drive comfortably with the 2nd row flipped. Plus with the chair removed it gave us more cargo space. So (1) adult (f 5’7) sat in the flipped chair, infant in the middle seat, (2) kids in boosters on 3rd row.
We’re you trying to flip the chair so you could see babies face? If so, not a good idea bc baby should be rear facing.
