I have the Canadian SX, and Waze is 100% of my screen now
There was a recent update to Android Auto, after the AA update and while disconnected from the car go into android Auto on your phone and hit the three dots at the top ⋮ and go to developer Settings. In there select Allow up to 1280 x 720 or 720 x 1280 and poof, 100% screen

I did set the Android Auto to full screen in the Carnival when the last update came out as well, so it used to have Waze on 70% and Spotify on the other 30%.
This is so much nicer!

Just updated my settings. Hopefully it works next time I drive it.

This has been available to 2022 models since the April Kia firmware update. 2023 models have to wait for some reason. I personally find it more visually appealing than the native AA split screen functionality. Glad you've got it working now

I've had the Android Auto full screen since the last Kia update, but it was still 70/30 with spotify. The option for the 1280 x 720 or 720 x 1280 did not change anything until the recent AA update. Waze was limited to 70%, now Waze is 100%.

Also FYI you have to enable developer options first. Go to Android auto on the phone. Scroll down and click version. Keep clicking in that box until you enable it. Now you will have developer options in the 3 dot menu on the upper right

I use Google maps. I haven't tried with Waze. If I enable split screen in the menu I can scroll through items on the right but if I disable split screen it's just how it looks in the screen grab when my s22 ultra is connected. Also attached are my settings in the Android auto developer window.

Looks like you have a 2023 based on your history… the latest version of the infotainment software that allows AA to use the entire screen isn’t available for your model year yet. You’ll have to wait for the next update, likely in November.

The fall navigation system update is out. Here’s the short version of what to do. As I mentioned, this is especially important for 2023 owners because it brings parity with the 2022 since the 2023 was behind.

There is no OTA update. You have to download and manually do the update.

It’s been temporarily unavailable for all cars with the standard Gen5W system for several days now. Check back later.
