Can you clarify how you placed your order? Was this a custom build from the factory or did you get on the dealers waiting list for inbound inventory matching your color preference?

Sorry to be a stickler for details, but could you elaborate a bit more? We've seen that it is really easy to confuse a truly custom factory orders with being placed on a dealer's waiting list. Did you have any custom features or accessories requested and delivered with your order? Or did you just specify the standard trim and color combination you preferred?
I contacted the dealer and place the order for the specifics I wanted a tow hitch the covers interior and exterior. Also the trim I wanted Sx prestige. I put my $1000 deposit down and they contacted me a week later and said it went through. Then they called when it was time to pick it up. I hope that helped.

No not week for vin assignment. They just said my order was placed. They total process took about 4 months you don’t get your vin until a week or two before delivery. Sorry if I mislead.
No sorry about 3 months I order it July 20th and pick it up on October 15th
I ordered my Kia Carnival on September 2, 2021 and received the car at the end of October, 2021. It was a specific order SX Prestige, White, Grey interior, very specific interior and exterior options. $1,000 refundable deposit if I decided against the car for any reason. I was told when I placed the order that it would be upwards of six months before I would receive the car. Within two weeks of placing the order I was advised that the car would be in by the end of September. When I inquired as to how that was possible, I was told that when the order was placed, there was one coming off assembly that was an exact match. I was skeptical and the car actually took another 3 to 4 weeks to arrive but arrive it did four months ahead of schedule and an exact match to what I ordered.
