...Not the MPV, but the $15 accessory that Kia should've included from the factory:

This thing turned the center console into a proper storage bin for small items. I highly recommend it. 👍🏾

Only downside is that doesn't perfectly match the Tuscan Umber interior and it took 2 weeks to deliver. Give it a shot!

Which color did you choose? I wish they had a plain black one.
This is great! I really wish there was an option for a cooler or mini-fridge for that spot.

Yes black would have been my choice. Ended up ordering white. Getting it Monday... we'll see...

My 2014 Optima has an A/C vent inside the glove box so you can "keep stored items cool". I thought it was a strange feature to include and only recently tried it with a warm bottle of water. After a 30 minute drive, the bottle was still just as warm as when I put it in the glove box.

The Korean version has a refrigerator draw in the area underneath the second row HVAC controls. For our models it's just a open slot that is useless in terms of storage because things will simply slide out.

White looks great (looks better than in the pictures) and works with the off white center console that comes with the off black interior.
I agree that this product is a must, and Kia should have provided it....

I was watching a YT video that featured the SX trim. A few things I noticed that it had that mine doesn't: First, it has the rotary know instead of a standard shifter. I like the knob as it doesn't block the phone charger and USB area. Second, console had a slide out tray and slide out compartment for the rear occupant. My does not. It just have a cubby hole which is small. Third, it had a compartment on the left rear that allows a door to open to come compartment that allows you to store cleaners, bottles, etc. Mine doesn't have that. So it appears, the Canadian version or whatever country it was, has things the US version doesn't have. WHat a bummer.

Markets that have the rotary knob gear selector come with paddle shifters (to allow manual shifter), whereas in North America they went for the traditional gear shifter, and omitted the paddles. That was a big disappointment for me as I use them all the time when driving my Mazda CX-5. What's worse is, Kia has the manual shifting backwards. To go up through the gears you actually push the shifter forwards, and pull back for a lower gear.

Every car I've driven does this. It appears to be widely used throughout the industry. Chevy, Kia, Jeep, Cadillac. Not sure where you've seen electronic shifting where pushing forward shifts to a lower gear.

Isn't that the new shifter that is fully electric? I think it's the exception, not the rule. I'm pretty sure most mechanical shifters with a manual mode shift up when pressed forward.

You are correct that a number of manufacturers have gone this route but, having previously driven formula 3 race cars, I concur that it is "backwards". On formula 3 transmissions, a pull was an increase in gear and a push was a decrease in gear. Since then I always wondered why manufacturers insist on putting it backwards in their cars.

I found that Mazda also does it correctly (IMHO).

And so the debate goes on.

I have two Mazdas so I'm VERY used to this correct way of pull back = upshift, and push forward = downshift. My '06 BMW also had it this way.

I took the Carnival for a test drive a month or so ago and ended up putting the car in first instead of third. I was puzzled for a few seconds thinking I had hit some other switch... But then I figured it out and was even more puzzled why this shifting stuff isn't standardized yet in the industry. Now I'm going to have 2 cars with opposite shifting styles, so that'll be fun.
