Hi Folks,

First time posting and 2022 EX owner here. Love my carnival but one thing is really annoying. When i need a reading light or need to turn on all the cabin lights, the buttons are extremely difficult to find in the dark. Even my old beater had soft glow lights to guide where the buttons are. What am i missing? Is there a setting for it? I always seems to end up pressing the UVO button. Can the cabin lights be activated with a Voice Command? At this point thinking about putting up glow in the dark stickers.

Thanks!

I know you're partially joking but glow in the dark stickers likely wouldn't get enough light to shine bright enough. But yeah, the lack of backlight buttons is a design oversight that may get corrected on a future model. Check the manual for the specific command or give different voice commands a try to see if that works. It never understands me so I wouldn't bet on it.

Ok, who is going to be the guinea pig and fix this problem?

I completely agree with that. The Carnival has great bulk storage space but Kia put zero effort into creating smaller storage compartments.

Separately, looking at the photos of the overhead light buttons in the above link, the Korean version of the Carnival has more buttons and features than the NA version. There are three additional buttons that look like they might be for a dashcam??? Not sure, just a guess. It also has red LEDs that show if rear passengers are buckled. When did Kia remove this from the NA version? I had a 2016 VW minivan in Germany that had this and it was great.
