I am going to buy this wonderful minivan. But I have 2 things that concern me.
1- If I buy SX version (Canada) with second row captain chairs, are there any solutions how to safely remove them when I need additional cargo space? that is a dealbreaker for me regarding SX. What is the point of having such a good car without having the opportunity to use its full potential.... ?
2- If I buy EX+ version, is it possible to ask dealership to install that Bose audio system and other electronic features from SX except captain chair for the second row?
I REALLY like SX version, I just do not want having that unremovable second row........ even with its poor ground clearance (130mm)
If neither of options are possible, i probably buy Pacifica Pinnacle. With audiosystem and REMOVABLE second row with captain chairs =)))

The captain chairs are removable however it requires s bit of work. There is a thread on this with great pictures and instructions of how to take them out.

I highly doubt it that you can get the electronics you want installed on the ex+.

Finally I’m pretty sure the carnival has the most ground clearance of all the minivans. Maybe the Awd Pacifica has the same.

I was highly interested in the pinnacle hybrid pacifica but choose the carnival over it because of the price difference, features, and also I question the hybrids reliability. But to each their own.

Good luck with your choice.

Thank you for the answer. Could you please give me a link for this thread about seats? I honeslty tried to find some info on youtube, or an article, but no success.

Please accept my deepest thanks. Really.
I permanently move to Canada this autumn and want to make my dream come true - Buy a minivan.
I felt in love with this Carnival and this was the only obstacle between me and the car. My wife loves to go camping and we want to travel sometimes on our vehicle. As a family of newcomers I guess we need that huge cargo space and minivan fits perfectly to our needs.
Sienna's interior looks somewhat old to me and total space is 25% less in comparison with Carnival. Also the toyota's display is a shame in 2022 with lags and low refrash rate.
Pacifica's ground clearance and reports about cars that can inflame simultaneously or issues with sudden and repeating "service charging system" errors scared me.
I very much appreciate your help.
