Does the Carnival have this on the front and/or back bumpers?

On other Kia's these are subtle circles on the bumpers, about 2 inches in diameter that can be popped out to show the screw hole location.

There must be a revised owners manual. The manual that came with my EX has pictures on page 6-30 and 6-31 showing the tow hook screwing into the front bumper in a hole with a removable plug. The rear has a metal loop welded under the trunk floor that is used for rear towing. No screw in hook for the rear.

Your attached manual says “2020 Kia Motors India”. Mine says 2021 Kia Motors America
