I removed the climate control filter (a.k.a. rear cabin filter) in the rear of my Carnival SX-P to inspect it but didn’t pay attention to the direction of the indicator arrow on it. The manual doesn’t indicate the direction of the air flow either and it isn’t stamped into the plastic filter cover. Could someone post a picture of theirs as installed originally by the factory? The pic shows how mine is currently installed. Thanks.

Don’t have a Carnival yet but I would say just take the filter out and hold a small piece of paper in there and turn the air on and see which way the paper bends

I tried that, but it was really hard to tell the direction of airflow. It just seemed like it was shooting directly out of the slot from the back, not either side.

I just checked it. It should be the other way around

Thanks so much for checking. I’ll switch it around. I just went to the dealer for an oil change and asked 3 people in parts and service. Nobody had a clue. They weren’t aware it had a rear climate control filter. I had to order one.

Is the cabin air filter in the glove department and the rear filter exactly the same or is it a different part?

Front: 97133-R0000
Rear: 97133-R0500

Yes, the Carnival has two cabin air filters.
