Confusion with ordering (building) basic LX w/Options

I tried an online Build of the Carnival LX (silver&cloth) with only the options of a Tow Hitch package and Cross Bars for roof.

The build dialog allows for adding the Hitch and Cross Bars -- and successfully finishes the build with those two option installed. However, some research suggested that the Cross Bars are ONLY available with factory-installed roof rails. And KIA states that the integrated roof rails ONLY come with the more expensive SX model. So I see a problem here, having the question whether I can get the required Roof Rails along with the Cross Bar option shown as a legit accessory for the LX build. Will the Roof Rails be included in the price of the Cross Bars ($360) which was successfully added to my LX build?

It seemed that either KIA screwed up the available option dialog for the LX, or by buying the $360 Cross Bars, the factory also installs the required Roof Rails needed to connect them to. But none of the photos (all over the internet) of the LX show Roof Rails or Cross Bars.

Thanks for any insights into the conflict in this situation?

The simple answer is the Kia website’s vehicle builder is frequently incorrect and/or glitchy.

You can’t put cross bars on an LX because it doesn’t have roof rails, and you cannot add roof rails to an LX.
