Not the full report, and not online yet, but I just received the September issue that includes the summary of the report:

Overall score 76 (Sienna 77, Odyssey and Pacifica 68).

The Carnival scored the highest road test score - 89 (Pacifica 85-88, Odyssey 85, Sienna 80).
For more info subscribe to Consumer Reports. I do to both the online and the magazine version. They are worth supporting!

I agree, a subscription to Consumer Reports is definitely money well spent.

Disappointed to see it doesn’t beat the Sienna, though CR are big fans of the Toyota Hybrid systems, they must have given a lot of points for the Hybrid option, fair enough if you’re going to put a lot of miles/Km on the car.

Good to hear road test score did well.

I find a lot of reviewers are really enamored with hybrid powertrains. They seem to think paying $3k-5k more for a hybrid with more engine noise and less cargo space is worth the $500/yr in gas savings. A 6 year ROI, where money in the future is worth less than current money, is not a great investment IMO.

The online results are now published at CR. 2022 Kia Carnival ties the Sienna, in overall points, both at 77 with the Carnival besting the Sienna in overall road test scores at 89 (versus 80 for Sienna). Both are rated good for predicted reliability and and very good for customer satisfaction. So, technically, the Carnival is the top rated minivan for the 1st time ever in CR ratings.

So I went back and checked - they did give it an overall score of 76 in the short review in the September issue and must have raised it since. I also noticed that they haven't included the IIHS safety tests result and the "Top Safety Pick" award . Score may go up?...

Still reading through it but noticed one mistake in their review:
"...it is frustrating that Kia doesn’t integrate the steering-wheel phone button to work with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay."
While not intuitive thanks to Un-Limited in this forum, I learned that a short press on the voice command button on the steering wheel operates UVO and a long one operates Siri to activate commands on CarPlay. I have been making calls, sending texts, having it read texts and emails and operate Waze and Music all using the steering wheel.
Am I missing something here?

That all sounds right. The one missing feature that I notice is the lack of a play/pause button on the steering wheel for Apple CarPlay. The volume button pushes in but only mutes the music. You would think the track select button would push in to pause/play but it doesn't push in at all. All in all, a pretty great carplay experience with a such a huge screen.

I looked all over for this button! Granted, none of my other Kias had it either, but something about this car just feels like it should have a pause button.
