I'm not sure which province you are in but here in Ontario the sales are governed by OMVIC and they may be able to hold you to the contract. Make sure you read up on your rights prior to signing anything so you are not locked in. If they do not have one on the lot, I'd assume that you will not be getting one any time soon.
BC:
You mention it's not close to your house so it might be considered a "Distance Sale"
Alberta is worse:
The dealer can write their own deposit/agreement form and not use the "suggested one", make sure you read it all.
Make sure if you do buy it, put a delivery date on the contract and have them add if you don't get it by that time the deal is cancelled and you get your deposit back. If they don't want to do that then I'd walk away.
