TFLnow goes through all the specs and features of the new Carnival.

Id like to know if Prestige middle seats are removable somehow or not. Are they welded to the floor or how they secured? I would remove them permanently if I could. Im driving now a Sienna with 2 seats for business usage , I need only 2 seats and a flat surface for light boxes , papers , drawings and other not heavy or dirty items. It would be like a luxury work/ cargo van.

There is conflicting information about the removability of the 2nd row seats in addition to the general description of the second row for 7 passenger seating. There is also a video on Kia's official youtube channel that states the seats are removable for the SX-P. On Kia's website under the SX-P "Seats" it shows the following:

155

157

I believe all this information is inaccurate but won't know until I actually get an SX-P.

Thanks . There are several conflicting , not clear informations about this van . Makes me think what is going on with these guys? They can not even present a new product properly! Not to mention their irrational option packages , color options.

Yes. I've documented my experience working with Kia Media Relations and Customer Care teams including all the varying conflicts of options vs standard features (specifically around the SX-P). Things like homelink mirror with autodimming are shown as options on the build site, which, are standard on the SX-P. The lighting kits I haven't sorted yet, but believe they may be standard. Regardless, I pulled the trigger on an SX-P. Hoping I don't regret it and wondering what I'll get when it finally shows up. :)

I've had a few experiences with Lane Assist, when I steered over the lane side markings. There was an audible short beep and I could feel the steering wheel move gently in the direction away from the lane marking & toward the center of the lane. It did not keep me centered in the lane, but did remind me when I got too close to the lane markings. This does not happen if you activate the turn signal to show that you intend to change lanes or turn.

For some reason, you have to press the button on the steering wheel every time you start the car to activate the lane-centering assist. I think you should be allowed to go into the settings and change it to always on, at least until you then press the button on the steering wheel to turn it off.
