We got our SXP July 2021. It has about 22K miles on it. So far so good. Minor issues with battery starting up in cold weather and doors not opening.

But today was a cold day in MN. I had to go somewhere so I started the car and let it idle for about 15m. Then I started to go. But it was going super slow. I stepped on the gas and it was still slow. Then Noticed the Check Engine light was on. I pulled over to the shoulder, turned it off, then on again. The light still remained but it accelerated as normal again. Then an hour, I got in the car and started it up and went. Normal acceleration but the check engine light remained on.

Is this the ECU sensor that people have complained about? Just curious if anyone has this problem and what you did to fix it (outside of taking it back to Kia)?

Go to any of the auto parts chains and have them scan the code so you know what it is. Those codes don’t tell you the exact problem always but it gives you a place to start.

Did you try the Kia app? It should have more information.
