First Road trip in SXP - 29.7 MPG

I have done a 1500 road trip. The best MPG i got is 29.7MPG for a 200 miles drive on a highway. With 3 adults, and two 50 LB luggage. I should have touched 30 MPG but due to slower traffic is stayed in 28.8.

Engine was so smooth, acceleration was smooth. Overall great trip. I own a SXP.

Max 29.6 MPG for 200 miles on a highway. One full tank gave 440 miles.

See..there you go. A lot of Sienna owners are bragging about their 35mpg. Great. But what's the downside? Loud, lethargic engine. Try doing 40mph on an off ramp, then have to accelerate to 70-75mph. Super sluggish. Super loud. It's not worth it. For a big vehicle like this, you need a proper V6. I will gladly take the trade of gas mileage in favor of a faster, better acceleration vehicle any day of the week. We got 28.5 on ours on two road trips. Nothing wrong with that.

I average 28 - 30 MPG with my SXP in a local drive.

oh wow. What driving mode did you guys use? I use normal, and doing 70 on the highway with ac on gives me around 25-26 mpg with good year tire. I am pretty gentle on the pedal. I know temperature, wind, can also affect it.
My best so far was 33.2 mpg on a 100 mile trip. 80% highway, 20% city. Watching the mpg gage showed acceleration is the killer of mpg.
We just took our longest road trip. Last week we drove from MPLS to Sioux Falls then to Branson MO and back. Averaged over 28mpg. That's driving between 72-75mph. The HDA was very nice. I wished it allowed 5 minutes of hands off the steering wheel.
