I can't say I've ever touched the hood after driving it, but this doesn't surprise me. You get much better cooling of the engine compartment when driving at highway speeds. A short drive to the corner store will keep the engine compartment hotter than a long one.

Ok i get your point. I was just crossing the front bonnet after parking i felt the heat. I will keep monitoring.
