I see 2 predrilled holes but would like to know how you mounted the bracket. Also, any experience with asking a dealer to do it for you as a new owner? Would like to think there would be no cost, but...

The dealer should do this at no cost, if you don’t feel comfortable. I just did this yesterday and wish I’d taken pics as I went along. Here’s what I did:

1) Use a small punch or drill to drill out the two holes/indents that are already on the bumper. These holes are used for placement of the bracket, so don’t make them bigger, just drill them through.

2) The bracket has two small pins sticking out from the back which are used as guides to place the bracket on the vehicle. Place the bracket against the bumper with the pins sticking into the holes. This should place the bracket in the correct place to attach it.

3) There are three holes in the bracket, use three self-tapping screws (included with the bracket) to attach the bracket to the bumper. You could pre-drill these holes but I just screwed in the self-tapping screws.

4) Finally, place the license plate on the bracket and use two self-tapping screws (included with the bracket) to attach the license plate to the bracket.

Thanks for that. I was a little worried that there might be something important behind the two predrilled indents. Wonder why they didn't just drill them through so that the alignment pegs would fit. Also wondered about the fact that the screws for the license plate are long enough to go through the plastic mounting bracket and into the bumper. So you end up with five holes in the bumper instead of the three for the bracket. Yes?

I think it’s because some regions don’t require front license plates.

I believe so (if I remember correctly). I’d double check for you but we sold our Carnival.
I want to ask you quick question. I want to check out my license plate lookup free using a single vinpit.com/license-plate-lookup free platform. Basically, I also want to check out vehicle details using a single app. Please let me know if you can help.
