I can let you know the map takes up the whole display. I honestly prefer the look of Apple Maps on CarPlay over Google Maps, just looks a little more "pro". But there's no split screen.
Google maps & apple carplay
Can someone share a photo of what Google maps looks like with Apple car play? Does it show the map with the entire display or is it split like with android auto?
