Hello to everyone. I'm currently asking questions in a few forums around the world, and this one in North America seemed to be the best. I have a question that might or might not be answered.

Can the Kia software downloaded from the North American Kia website in January 2023, which includes navigation and pretty much everything, be uploaded into a Thailand-based Kia Carnival SXL 2022? The car was built in South Korea and shipped to Thailand. With the exception of the software, it's right-hand drive and has all the features you'd expect on a NA model. Whereas the rest of the world gets a nice purple color, more settings, nature sounds, quiet mode, and so on, we in Thailand get a severely trimmed down version that is in monochrome and lacks all of the bells and whistles found on the NA and South Korean models. CarPlay and Android Auto are available, but everything else is merely a formality. I'm familiar with software; I paid around $72,000 USD for the motor, and it irritates me, for lack of a better word, that it's not up to par. My only concern is that the software contains some code that prevents it from being uploaded into a foreign car, potentially bricking or disabling the head unit. In my head, it's software and should be compatible, but my other senses tell me to back off and do some research.

Any help or knowledge would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Is it technically a SK or Thailand model? If SK, I would imagine, you just need to download the software from the SK site and install it. If your locale is blocked by Kia’s site, then you can VPN into a server located in SK to download the correct software. You may need to check your local laws and regulations to ensure these suggestions are within the bounds of what is legally permissible.
