I just purchased our second Kia Carnival. First one removed all emblems no problem.

Second one when removing the hood emblem I noticed it was put on over 2 holes! Anyone have the same issue? I can't reuse the emblem as they are thin and bend easily. I now have 2 holes in my hood and emblems are on backorder!

Here is a picture for reference.

Any chance Kia will resolve or do you think I'm stuck with this one? Dealership is telling me it is normal..
The dealership may tell you whatever they can to make you go away. Some of these Kia dealerships are awful. I would (if possible) check the part number on the hood and see if it matches the part number on your other Carnival. You could reach out to Kia corporate saying that your new carnival has non-US parts installed on it and see if it draws any attention.

Started a case with Kia Consumer Affairs. We'll see what happens!

Finally heard back from Kia Consumer Affairs, they advised me to return to the dealer to have the vehicle reinspected. They stated any issues should have been caught during the PDI. I told them there is no way of seeing the holes unless the emblem was removed. Dealership says the holes are normal. KCA told me they would notate the event but couldn't not assist anymore.

Hi- I am in the same situation. After looking at some of the videos; I thought its simple to take out the emblems. Even though it's easy; found the holes underneath!!

what did you end up doing? did you put the the emblem back after putting the paint protection film?

I am thinking of doing that with a 3M black adhesive.

Thanks

Original emblem bent upon removal. I am still working on the final product, but with the new Kia logo being back ordered I needed to be creative. I ordered the new Genesis Wings and converting them to the Flying K logo. It actually fits the front end really well.

I used the OEM 2015-2016 Genesis Hood Emblem. These years fit and finish match the trim on the Carnival. Not finished but here is the current look.

Snagged the idea from the Genesis MPV rendering.
