Under the dash looks awful bare, with things exposed that IMO would be nice to have covered up. I would think that would help with interior noise level.
I live an hour away from my dealer and they're not going to have another Carnival on the lot to look at. So, I'm hoping to learn if I have an issue or not from this forum.
Can someone help me out and check under their dash to see if similar?

Yeah, there's nothing wrong here. Firewall insulation goes on the engine compartment side of the firewall in every car I've owned.

It looks like the insulators didn't quite blend enough to the carpet. I have the same thing here. Awful to see but you get used to it. Still functions as it should.

Although Kia vans have been nice in the past, I am very disappointed with our 2022 Carnival. My 2011 Sedona was built so much better. For example the 22 has no power lift gate, no 3rd row opening windows, no home link, no middle seat arm rests and no digital heat/cold dual temp settings The roof lighting controls for the cabin lights are impossibleto see the location of them at night. I would not buy another one! No EX models were available. This model is the Sxp.

You are certainly right about a few of your points but I am confused by some of them. You have an SXP without a power lift gate? That is a standard feature on at least EX and above. The 22 SXP only came in the 7 passenger seating with the 2 VIP seats in the second row. There is no middle seat. The heat/cold controls are only digital. Did you mean LX with Seat Package?

Yes, I did, the middle seat I referred to is the second row seating. It is very uncomfortable even for our grandchildren to ride in.

We have a 22 EX, so the seats are exactly the same as yours. That middle seat is 100% the reason why we bought the Carnival over the Sienna (which is truly worthless). We use that middle seat daily and have never had a complaint. But that is just our experience.
