HI,
i have EX model and 2 sets of fob's on a trip. does the ex have the setting of fob opening and closing doors if its in pocket? i couldn't find a setting in menu for that. Or locking the van when you walking away from it? i also realized that having a spear fob in glove box doesn't prevent the car from locking itself. (my other car will not let that happen) also, my key fob doesn't seem to open sliding doors as i approach the van. is that only Sx version?

I believe you need to go into your settings on your infotainment system and turn on the setting to have your key proximity open doors, and this feature should be available on the EX. Once you turn the setting on, you need to stand by you sliding doors or tailgate for a few seconds and they will begin to open. I am not sure about the glovebox question. Hope this helps!
