Hi. I tried to lock the doors from outside with the fob when the car engine is running. It did not lock the doors. I tried even pressing the door handle button. It did not work.

Cant I lock the car from outside when the engine is ON? I wanted to pick an item from UPS but does not want to trun off the engine to lock the car. Anyone have the same problem?

This is not possible unless you first turn off the car, exit, lock the doors, then use the remote starter to restart the engine. I think @UN-Limited may need to add this to our FAQ.

Thanks for the reply. Not sure what went on tge engineer's mind to have design like this. Looks like, he should have been a Mr. PERFECT.

Roll the window down. Get out. Shut door. Press lock button on inside of door. Press window up and move your arm out of the way FAST.

I think that would actually work. Crazy that someone has to go through such a process though. Just curious if the car senses that the fob is outside of the vehicle and causes problems. Have you done this before?
