No Rear Led light bar for LX owners

So as the title suggests, I bought the LX not knowing that the rear reflector didn’t have the led light going across (similar to the Durango I guess). Is there a way to add this? Like is it already wired and just need bulbs or is this something I would have to swap the entire piece to get that light?

The lower trims did not get the nice lights, there is differences with the head lights as well iirc. You could look at this aftermarket rear light set out of Korea.

I’ve seen that one and it’s super clean but almost $900!! I think I’ll stick with my stock ones for now lol

A piece that big won't be cheap. That's why you pay more for the upper trims - to get the fancy stuff.

I understand how trim levels work. I was just unaware at the time of purchase that it was a trim specific addition. My own fault for not verifying. Just wanted to see if anyone knew of a replacement part that might be similar that I haven’t come across yet. Thanks

I saw something called “Tuning Tail Drive Light Activation Module Cable For KIA 21-2022 Carnival Sedona” on EBay (here) and wonder if this would work. Since there isn’t a lot of info in the listing, I’m not sure if the LX has the the lights in the strip and just needs this cable to make it work. Maybe worth a try?

This is interesting. I messaged the seller for more info. I wonder if the lights are already there and just need the adapters/plugs to work. Good find!

Thanks for messaging them. If that seller doesn’t have any info, there seems to be a couple of others selling it on EBay. I’m interested in hearing whatever you find out.

After further inspection, it seems that the middle reflector piece is different between the trims. I think only the SX comes with the led lights that extend into the middle reflector. On pictures I’ve seen it shows what appears to be a seamless led from the tail lights to the reflector. On mine it clearly stops then goes into the reflector. So it may actually be an entire different tail light assembly. I’m still waiting for the seller to reply back.
On another note, that same eBay seller has a listing of Porsche style led taillights (referenced earlier in this thread) for $600.

Interesting… although $600 seems more reasonable, I’m not sure if I want to spend that much on something I won’t see. Then again, I’ve done more ridiculous things with my money in the past, so anything is possible.

I agree and I’m in the same boat as you
