There is a new update for Navigation and head units that adds a few new features:

Valet Mode looks interesting (not that I have Valet's driving my car often)
I'm always nervous about updating, they always list the new features but conveniently forget to mention the ones they take away.

This will take you some time, and with the engine running, make sure to gas up and bring a book :).

So... I bit the bullet and did the update, and looked at the new features and YAWN not totally interesting. I can't imagine they went to all that work for a new Darker Skin on Maps, Valet Mode (a little underwhelming) but at the end of it I didn't get to see what else was updated (beyond what was on the website) because the "Over the air" (or something like that) hadn't finished yet. It did do an entire system update though.

As I stated above, I upgraded last night, and today I took a 1.5 hour trip and in that time Android Auto crashed on me 3 times. This has never done this to me before. Each time I had to park, shut down, and restart for Android Auto to reset. Just disconnecting and reconnecting the USB did not help.

Whille I can't confirm that the upgrade caused this to happen, this has never happened to me before and I have driven 16500 km since June 2021.

After downloading it to your PC the next screen does give you the option to copy to your USB

Yes, but when I try to copy to USB, it fails for some reason after formatting it. Copying it to the USB drive manually worked just fine. I still cannot login and have it properly linked to my car. Kia corporate is zero help. :)

Ugh... I noticed after the last update our one rear monitor is constantly asking to be reconnected as well (even after being reconnected). For others, unless there is a specific feature you need, you may want to hold off.

Another change, they've removed access to the engineering mode, you can still access dealer mode (now with a popup notice says that if you screw it up they are not responsible). The process to get into engineering mode no longer works.
