Hello to all the drivers and passengers!
IMHO every car (save 18-wheelers) has to have an option of a roof rack while our new Carnival EX aint gotten one. There have been discussions on here about this blunder on Kia's part but no suggestions so far. I have talked to Thule rep today and she could not answer if they are planning to design one. I thought putting my mother-in-law on the roof - she'd clamp on mighty hard and yet carry a back pack along!

Any suggestions (not about her of course)? We are praying to St. Jude, the patron saint of desperate cases. We are desperate.

That’s the fact where Kia should address. An MPV should have a least an option that roof rails can be installed in EX trim and below. An EX is a sweet spot to own but it comes with naked roof. Some of our folks struggles to have a clear information whether aftermarket rails can be installed by drilling the roof but unfortunately, it’s a “No”. “They” said it might affect the safety side curtain of the vehicle. Sad! We need an SX in order to clamp-in our inlaws out there…
