So this happened last night:
and then it was gone after a few minutes. It started during a very regular drive on a clear day. Not sure if I should take it to the dealership and get it thoroughly checked out or ignore the blip for now. Just thought to share in case anyone else has witnessed anything similar.

Very weird, I did not experience something similar on my SXP.

I've seen it in heavy rain where it comes up and says "forward radar" or "forward collision detection" is no longer working (not exactly sure of the warning, was a little focused on all the white knuckle drivers in the sudden downpour) but not that specific message.

I'd advise t take it in, see if the dealership can replicate the error messages. This is not normal (even if under inclement conditions and the forward emergency braking system is disabled, the messages go away after some ttime)

In heavy rain, to the point where it’s difficult to see anything out of the windscreen, I purposely turn on the adaptive cruise control at max distance. It’s helpful having a second set of eyes so to speak to provide additional safety. Even treacherous conditions, I’ve never had any notice like what you showed.

I just picked up my SX-P 5 days ago. I started getting the exact same 5 warning messages the day I drove it off the lot. I have had about 3 driving sessions where they did not occur, and the driver assist systems worked as expected. However, at least once a day these warning messages appear. Heavy rain or dirty glass will generate a different warning message saying “camera obscured.” I tested that with tape over the cameras. I have it in for service right now and the service rep said they can see a history of warning messages with codes even if they aren’t currently appearing. Their diagnosis has determined that the front windshield camera is faulty and needs replacing. The replacement part arrives in 2 days. I will report back if that resolves the issue.

The forward-facing camera replacement resolved the issue. However, ask them to order a new plastic cover that goes behind the rear view mirror, because they don’t seem to be able to take it off to get to the camera without snapping off the pegs that hold it on.

I got a different warning about the blind spot monitoring system today while sitting at a red light on a clear day with a clean car.

And the rear cross traffic alert...

And I thought I could reset these features in the settings, but they're completely grayed out in the menus.

Restarting the car does nothing to get rid of these warnings and the blind spot system is completely disabled. Time to go to the dealer after only 2k miles 🙄... The joy of buying a first production year model.

I finally got a diagnosis of the blind spot error message. Dealer says I need a replacement radar sensor for the rear bumper, but has none in stock and no clue when it will arrive after ordering. So, beware of parts shortages with the current market conditions!

That is the concern with any parts now per our discussion in the other thread. Hope you get it resolved soon...

The dealer finally got the replacement radar sensor and installed it today. They say it was caused by a short in the wiring. Glad to have the car back but disappointed to take it in after only 2k miles.

There's the old saying that you should never buy the first year of a new model/redesign, but I couldn't help myself! 😁
