Selling at MSRP and Shipping

I am located in SoCal and am struggling to find dealers willing to sell an SXP at MSRP. Can anyone recommend a dealership in the U.S. who is selling the vehicle at MSRP and is willing to ship the vehicle across the country. It makes sense to pay the $1000 shipping fee to avoid the $5k+ markup.

Try Kia of Muncie Indiana. They were making a mint on Tellurides a year ago or so. Ask for Jason or Lucas.
Fort Bend Kia outside of Houston, TX appears to be doing the same. One of their sales people has been active on the FB group. I believe her name is Helen.

Does it really on cost only ~$1,000 to have a vehicle shipped across the country?

I'm in NorCal and might end up having to go this rough too, or just wait 6 months and hope things settle down or vehicle supply increases.

It will cost more than $1000. I almost had to do that but I got very lucky and got my SX trim BELOW MSRP! I got a pretty sweet deal.
Most NY Metro area dealerships are selling at MSRP. As for shipping, you’ll have to call individually. Try Northstar Kia and Generation Kia.
Cost to ship to the West Coast will be more than $1000. I shipped a mid-size SUV from NYC to Ashland, OR for $1200 and this was more than 5 years ago.

I agree. Also a lot of smaller towns tend to have lower prices and not marking up their prices.

Hi, I checked two dealerships here in Richmond, Va, West Broad Kia and Haley Kia. There were 4 for sale today. There are number of dealers in and around Richmond,Williamsburg, Fredericksburg, and the Virginia Beach area. They are just starting to get them in here.

Yeah I've checked their online inventory before and they really didn't have any.
I just bought my SX from Kia of Wesley Chapel in Florida. The whole thing was simple and easy. They have inventory coming in all the time. They presold me mine. I didn't ship since I needed to go to Tampa anyway. Ask for Holly, she will get it done for you. Probably the easiest car buying experience I have ever had.

How far is your drive home going to be from Tampa?
It was about 10 hours. It's roughly 650 miles.

If you are still looking, call Finnin Kia in Iowa. I live in PA and purchased my Carnival from Finnin. They never tried to force any markups or service plans on me. I shopped around with a professional buyer and Finnin was by far the best price and they were all fantastic to work with. Keri was the sale woman I spoke with and she is awesome.

Did you drive the vehicle home, or have it transported?
I had it shipped. They took care of everything and worked out all the costs

Any idea of your cost to ship?
Any idea of your cost to ship?
Not sure, they negotiate it based on distance. They took care of all that and took good care of me. I am confident you won’t be disappointed with them.

I posted this on a different thread, but thought I'd cross post to help out.

I'm in Utah, and I've called 12-15 dealerships within 500 miles. Almost all of them had markups. I thought I'd share what I found.
Arizona $4-8K
Vegas $3-5K
Colorado $2-4K
Northern Utah $1-3K

HOWEVER, Jerry Seiner Kia in South Jordan, UT has a dealership policy to NEVER charge over MSRP. So if you can get a deal and get shipping, it might be a good option. Or come pick it up. Its about 30 min from the SLC airport.

I just got an SX ordered, and now just have to wait... for a while...
