Hi, I thought this information might be helpful for other buyers. I ordered an LX+ in mid September. The dealer contacted me recently and said I should be able to pick up the vehicle by the middle to end of February. They claim a VIN has been allocated to me but the vehicle was still on a ship and not yet landed. I was under the impression that VIN's weren't issued until the vehicle was officially in Canada. I'll update when I actually pick up the vehicle.

I ordered a black lx+ In June 2021. They said I could get dealer allocation in 1month. Then in October 2021 they said my only choice was to change it to a factory order. June 2022 now and I’m still waiting. The dealer rarely replies to my emails and messages. Just a horrible experience.

I ordered a white lx+ in October 2021. Was told it would be here June 2022. No van no vin number and also having issues with the dealership not replying and getting any sort of an update. The only update they finally got back to me with was they have no idea when it will come and to try to be patient but I am ready to ask for my deposit back and move onto something used despite that market being a nightmare as well.I ordered a black lx+ In June 2021. I may be wrong here, but I am guessing the reason the dealerships don’t respond or provide any information is because Kia doesn’t give them any information. I have been pressing my dealer to tell me their allocation #’s on the Carnival and they haven’t done so, and just yesterday it kind of dawned me that the reason they are not providing information is because Kia obviously isn’t hitting allocation numbers on any of the vehicles (lots seem to pretty much be bare of new Kia’s) so this tells me it’s not necessarily them withholding, they just don’t know. So anything they tell us wouldn’t hold water and than buyers get more irritated.

I see a lot more LX Carnivals around than EX and SX. Had we ordered a lower trim, it may have arrived much sooner.

I had to call 3 times just to get someone to speak with me which is awful when the sale really hasn't gone through.I think it is dependent on the trim.

We are a family of 5 and man we are making do with a much smaller CUV. Can't wait to get the minvian.
I have noticed that the dealers themselves don't know what is going on. Poor model. At least they could get back to you. I mean how long does that take?
Ordered end of September. Still waiting and no info. EX model. Dealer sent us proof of order but they otherwise seem at a loss themselves, don't have any time line guess, nothing.
How does corporate Kia not have any sense of production speed and able to give any sort of update what so ever?? Just tell people it is going to be 12 months if that's what it is....

I ordered an Ultra Silver SX near the end of July 2021 and was told I would take delivery by the end of September. Things have changed drastically since then but my sales person sends me an email every month or so to update me that they have no update. I stopped by the dealership a few days ago to speak to them. As an update they have an LX, EX and SX coming in over the next couple weeks that had been ordered in May 2021. He said that they were coming in slowly and it appeared that they were working through the existing dealership list and it looks like around 13 months is the timeline right now. On the plus side they were all listed as 2023 models.

-The dealership was allocated the VIN on December 2, 2021
-The Vehicle arrived at the dealership on February 15, 2022
- We picked up the vehicle February 26, 2022
