We gave them 3 colour options so whatever comes in first we will take.

Hi, I thought this information might be helpful for other buyers. I ordered an LX+ in mid September. The dealer contacted me recently and said I should be able to pick up the vehicle by the middle to end of February. They claim a VIN has been allocated to me but the vehicle was still on a ship and not yet landed. I was under the impression that VIN's weren't issued until the vehicle was officially in Canada. I'll update when I actually pick up the vehicle.

Placed one order back in Nov for an EX+ and was told 6-8 months (all other dealers said 12+). At the 4 month mark and haven't heard any updates. Starting to get a little antsy so I put another order in at a different one that told me with 2 months ($3000 premium).
Not sure how these dealers are quoting only a several months wait.

At least if it's accurate then you can plan accordingly. The Carnival is my backup as by the time I placed my Sienna order it already slipped to 18-24 months.
My backup now is the LX+ which is available in the GTA at a couple of dealers.

I ordered from Stouffville Kia and I was initially told 6 months, and here I am still waiting...
They did tell me they have LX+ available too but I only want the EX+
I ordered my thru Ferguson Kia, broken arrow, OK. Had a great experience, they only sell at MSRP ( Sean is the sales guy). $300 markup on VSC as well. No dealer added options, I had to wait 3 months, Mckinney Kia also sells at MSRP. But was not able to place the order when I wanted it.

Planning to move to Toyota grand Highlander as soon as it opens for sale which has hybrid variant. I'm happy to wait for hybrid instead of gasoline.

That's a good option but wait time is more than 2 years and last year there were not taking any booking also. Assuming grand Highlander would be lesser wait time eagerly awaiting to open.Why not the Sienna?
The Grand Highlander is not even released yet, whereas the Sienna has been out for over 2 years. I ordered EX+ in August last year and was told 1 year waiting. No news still. Followed up on Feb was told that production is getting better so may be sooner than Aug but nothing certain

With the mild facelift for the 2024 model I hope the SXP will not come anymore with the black wheels. I do not consdider looking for another dealer since they are all in the same boat inventory wise but most importanltly the dealer I purchased it from in my area is extremly good to deal with.

I ordered March 2022 and have now been told no new SX are coming in till June.
Exact to this day I ordered one year ago. This was about one week before the order bank closed for 2023. At the time the expected delivery was 12 - 14 months. In my last conversation with the dealer a couple of weeks go they have no ETA since Kia Canada is not providing them any. My contact estimated that at this time there is a fair chance it will trickle down to a 2024 model. I am hopeful for that since I don't want to take delivery of a 2023 in late summer...and a month later it is already a one year model old given there is a slight facelift in 2024. I am sure your dealer is not of bad faith it is likely they sincerely just don't know. Yet I understand it is rightfully upsetting for you they have poor communication practices by not replying to your calls and emails . If I may suggest...just go there in person ...then they can't ignore you. This is what iI have always done

Also happening in US. I ordered SXP Feb 2022 in Fowler,CO and was initially given 6-9mth wait and my order is still showing as pending as of today. Have been checking w/ dealer every 2 wks now, and they said only LX and EX are being made. They are guessing higher trims affected by chip shortage, but its only a guess.Seems like we are all just in the same boat. Kia just isnt giving Canada any.

Well this forum made me realize maybe the dealer isn't screwing me around. Ordered Carnival SX early March 2022, they told me 8 to 10 months. So far no VIN allocated and no idea when it will even be in.
