It depends where you position the captain's chairs. They move left to right and forward and back.
When they are fully moved towards their corresponding access sliding door, you enter third row through the middle - the captain's chairs do not lift out of position.
When you move the captains chairs towards the interior of the vehicle (so for the driver side - you'd be sliding the seat to the right), to use the foot rest and recline positions, your access to the third row is more limited.
