I just bought an extra set of rims so I can put on my winter tires. Te goal is to do my onw summer/winter tires swap in my garage and avoiding going to a shop. I also bought an OEM set of TPMS sensors. They were way cheaper than anything that's aftermarket. Now, I just realized that my Carnival would have to be reprogramed everytime I'll change from winter tires to summer and vice versa. Probably even after a simple tire rotation. Anybody can please let me know what would I need to do it myself? Do I need a tool to ID the TPMS sensor ID and then another tool to program my Carnival's computer? If so, what kind of tools? Thanks.

I have the same setup and you don’t need anything. The Carnival will automatically pickup the signal from the TPMS after you drive a couple minutes. Just make sure your winter TPMS have been coded for your Carnival and are activated before you leave the garage that installed and balanced your tires.

Do you happen to have the parts number to the oem tpms you purchased?

With my Hyundai sedan, I would be able to get used tpms off any hyundai/Kia and they'll work (after a few miles driving on them). But that was a sedan. Are the TPMS for heavier vehicles different since they require higher tire psi? My sedan was 33psi compared to 36-37 psi that's required for the Carnival.
