Turn of Adaptive Cruise

I don't think you can turn off adaptive cruise control and just use "dumb" cruise control but you can go into the settings and change the following distance to something much shorter than default. This means the car will not break as often. But just my two cents, if you have not used the adaptive cruise control much try it out more. I LOVE it and use it 90% of the time when I am driving. You would never buy another car without it.
Not sure if this works for the Carnival specifically, but some adaptive cruises if you hold down the adaptive cruise or cruise button for 10 plus seconds it swtiches to standard cruise. I should actually look this up as I did have an issue with a rental one time. It was a Toyota Rav4 and I was driving when it was raining and almost freezing temps. Eventually the adaptive cruise threw up an error code saying it was not working and to check the manual. I stopped for gas and knocked off all the ice on the front then it worked fine. But for awhile I had no cruise at all till that ice got knocked off.
