On Feb 2nd, I paid deposit for 2023 Kia Carnival SX-Prestige. When I paid the deposit a VIN was assigned and they said the expected delivery date is Feb 13th. But, later it changed to Feb 20th. When I checked in today, they said the ETA is on Feb 27th. When I asked what status it is in, they said it is port allocated and they are waiting for delivery driver. Anyone else on the same boat like me? Can anyone give a rough estimate of how long it may take to get it delivered?

That's normal. The dealer had a vehicle matching your preference on their inbound inventory report and let you reserve it for a deposit. It'll take a few weeks for a truck to deliver it to the dealer. It's not UPS with a tracking number to accurately predict delivery the date.

Our salesman has only given us updates on Tuesday and we have went from receiving the car on 2/9 to 2/19 to 2/26 to finding out now the car will not be delivered until 4/13. Is there anything that we can do on pushing them to get it out of the port?

No it sounds like Kia is restructuring the way the deliveries are scheduled

That's normal. The dealer had a vehicle matching your preference on their inbound inventory report and let you reserve it for a deposit. It'll take a few weeks for a truck to deliver it to the dealer. It's not UPS with a tracking number to accurately predict delivery the date.

Ya I can understand that. But I want to know how long it takes for a vehicle to get delivered from the VIN assignment date? what's the standard timeframe?

I got mine in 50 days from VIN assignment to dealer lot in TX. Had port installed options.

Deposit for 23 SX last Sept 2022, Dealer filled their order on Jan 1st, 2023. Vin recieved Jan 24th and tentative arrival will be Feb 28th 2023. Dealer called that the car arrived at their lot today. Picking up tomorrow.

Glad to find this forum. We picked up our SXP in Feb 2023 2nd week. I placed the order in October. Once i received the car when i checked the side badge it is saying the vehicle manufactured in Sep 2022. So Window sticker with VIN was sent to me in October. And looks like it took time to match the vehicle and ship it took lot of time.
