Looks like the Canadian EX+ trim is missing some items (memory settings for ext mirrors/driver seats, Bose audio, cooled front seats, blind spot viewing on 12.3" instrument gauge, and parking collision avoidance assist - reverse) on my must-have list. I'll have to go for the SX trim (even with my much disliked VIP seats).
thats exactly why I ended up with the SX and the sun roofs. Hopefully the VIP seats won’t be bad. Really for the price difference between the two SX isn’t bad for all of that additional stuff.

I have an SX model ordered in Canada in Storm Blue, not sure when it will arrive, but hoping it will come soon.

Has anyone seen any pictures of the off black leather on the SX prestige? I originally wanted to the Brown leather in the SX model (Canadian Model), but it is only limited to 3 of the exterior colours. Trying to see one in the wild with the actual leather and colour. On the virtual site the leather looks light grey.
I also have my eyes on the SX, and trying the get an idea on the market price. Do you mind sharing how much did you get it for? Also wanting to know if rear entertainment system can be purchased as an addon or not

Right now its just a pre-sale, so at MSRP, but will figure out price after driving once it arrives. Not sure on the rear entertainment system. However i would suggest just looking on amazon for a tablet holder that clips onto the back of the seat and buy a tablet of your choice, much more versatile option.

Screens are not "cleanly" removeable from the looks of it. IMO they should have been better integrated with the car, i.e. the two screens have independent wifi, independent bluetooth etc. I guess I'm expecting too much? :)

Re:CrystalSun

The blind spot radar has been working fine since last car wash. Maybe it's the salt from Tahoe affecting the ultrasonic sensors. I'll keep an eye out.
And one more thing I want to add... it came with front side windows tinted (as with aftermarket tint films). I can also see it in other dealer photos. I actually kind of like it, as it gives a blackout look from side combined with the dark wheels.
@l3536

On your Carnival, is there a plastic popout piece in the rear bumper like the Telluride for when installing a trailer hitch? I've talked to several dealerships which don't have Carnival's in yet, but they believe that a trailer hitch can be added at the dealer similar to the Telluride. They said the only difference is that you don't get the rear leveling like you would from the factory, which is fine by me because we would be using it solely to truck around bicycles.

No there isn't, completely smooth and seamless one piece bumper. It's also attached to a real skid plate with some sort of epoxy compound so there isn't even any access to the frame in the back. There is a hook on the skid plate I imagine could be used to tow the car out of a ditch.

I think the most plausible way to add hitch is a vertical flush cut on the skid plate and the hitch would turn 90 degree and come out under the silver garnish.

Thank you! Just so I understand would that require cutting the skid plate or are there visible holes that the hitch could be possibly me mounted to?

My contact at the local dealership said they are expected to receive an LX with the seat package 03/09 and an SX on 03/17. This is Capitol Kia in San Jose, CA. I'm now reaching out to other dealers in the Bay Area to see when they're expecting deliveries.
I went to see the model on the lot at Stevens Creek Kia in San Jose. It had already been sold for $6K over MSRP. No test drive for me. I wonder what premium they will attempt for any Prestige models they get.

Holy shiitake mushroom, already gone! Minivans are a hot commodity in the Bay Area, and now there's a cool looking one in the mix. I guess that's good for KIA, but sucks for us eager early-adopters.

Have you thought of test driving the LX at Capitol Kia? Yeah it's an LX, but it's the same size and same motor as any Carnival trim.

I'm looking for a dealer that can share the full specs and features in Canada. Thinking EX trim for (fake) leather, but hate the idea of 19" wheels... Would love auto dimming mirror and 4 way driver lumbar.

From the spec I have seen, there are no auto dimming exterior mirrors in any trim but there is electrochromic rear view mirror with Homelink in the EX trim and up. The LX+ trim (and up) comes with a 10 way power seat with 2 way lumber; only the SX trim is equipped with the 4 way lumber.
