The "other" Red SX is gone in Roseville too, one day after it was posted on autotrader.

I have been talking to Capitol Kia before I bought mine. They have a Ceramic Silver SX coming in on the 20th, at MSRP.
love the look of the ceramic silver for SX. I was about to put a deposit here in Texas for a White SX P but it was about to end up 57K ... no thanks. We may just wait to see how sales go, maybe look at an sx & not sx prestige, or just stay with our odyssey

I see at least one listed in the Atlanta area. Dealer is ALM Kia in Union City
I was going to write and say - oh it looks like a mistake when I saw this one:
New 2022 Kia Carnival SX Prestige With Navigation since a VIN lookup shows that its an SX - https://www.kia.com/us/services/en/windowsticker/load/KNDNE5H34N6060449

However I checked their second SX prestige and that looks like an actual Prestige - first one I have seen in the US

Great find - ncatoffice!

Please don't pay over sticker- People are still paying over MSRP for the Tellurides!

Found a SX-P locally with floor mats and wheel locks added on. Price, less taxes, title, fees, is $52,929. They added a $4999 "Market Adjustment" and $399 3yr vehicle theft deterrent window etch.
Have you been able to see it in person? Would love to see pics of it if you have or if the dealer has pictures posted if you could point us in the right direction.

Supposedly delivery is the 27th. Once I can see it in person I’ll post some videos and pictures. Obviously not paying $5k over MSRP.

Just came back from a 1500 mile trip to Las Vegas. Got a rock ding, a huge scratch from a parking lot and crumbs / oil slick everywhere from kids eating fried chicken in the car. And oh yeah we had a 50lb dog with us too. But hey that's what a family car is for! See the cringe worthy picture - I imagine 99% will buff out though.

To answer the questions, power feels very good and effortless. I have not gone full throttle because I'm not supposed to go over 4000rpm during break in period, I'd imagine more hp and less weight would easily beat Honda and Pacifica. I am also really happy with how confident it feels in high g turns, no body lean at all.

Two-tone paint. Nice! Not even the Pacifica offers that. :p

Ugh! Sorry to hear and see that! Hopefully won’t cost too much to get repaired. I’ll be interested to hear your experience getting parts for the repair.

My wife test drove an EX yesterday and saidshe really liked it.Her only complaint was that the brakes felt mushy. This is comparing to her outback 3.6r which already felt mushy to me. I’m thinking it could be that the pads weren’t bedded yet but was wondering your thoughts. Also what were your and family impressions after the long trip?

There are few videos on red Kia.
I don't have many pictures. Parked next to other red cars, it definitely had more depth (more light absorption) and more orange hues from the highlights. In shades it appears more dark cherry red.

The scratch will mostly buff out with a 10 dollar scratch remover. I will post "after picture". The brake felt no different to me, at higher speed it feels more firm to me. The wheel is what took me a while to get used to as it is less sensitive (3 full turns).

Edit: added a couple more pictures I can find, under the full sun. The scratch is 90% gone after a cloth wipe, yet to find time to use the scratch removers.

After reading your review and reading opinions and reviews from others, here’s the painful verdict

The Carnival is an amazing idea poorly executed

Compare it to its Japanese rivals, while I might not love the idea of the Sienna or Odyssey and they’re not as trendy as the Carnival they are both executed perfectly and as intended.
After waiting months for the Carnival, an Odyssey is on order for our family (V6 is #1 on must haves list)
This is quite the premature take in my opinion considering very few have actually driven or reviewed the Carnival yet. Let's not pretend that the Odyssey or Sienna are perfect...both have some significant shortfalls and problem areas.

Odyssey's infotainment is buggy and frankly bad especially on the higher trims, so the Kia doesn't have to try to hard to improve on this. Not to mention their 9-speed transmission was crap so glad to see all are coming with 10 now. Oh and that wonderful Honda V6 is direct injected, so do yourself a favor and research what kind of maintenance it entails. Also the A/C system is subpar in the current generation (only one compressor) and the placement of the vents is really poor. At least where I live this is kind of a big deal for half the year. I'm a big fan of Honda and this was my #2 choice.

Sienna hybrid feels just plain cheap inside even on the top trims. Middle trims have the worst fake wood grain I have ever seen and worse it's poop brown. Rear seats don't fold completely flat and the fit and finish of the seat stitching was terrible. Even my wife commented on this after looking at 2-3 different Sienna models with leather. Not to mention you want a V6, so likely won't be happy with how the hybrid drives/shifts/accelerates etc.

No perfect vehicle for sure, and so few minivan choices make this even harder but the Carnival is right for my family. Picking up an SX on Monday actually!

Isn't it odd that there are so few SX-Prestige available? Tons of LX. Usually at launch- the top trim is the only one available!
Maybe it has something to do with Covid! Sienna is the same way. Easy to find the lower trims, but not the higher ones. It could also be the segment. Most people probably don't care about the luxury aspect of a minivan
